How to make a toilet paper roll ladybug craft
This super easy ladybug craft is perfect for Valentines Day. You will be able to add a secret message!
You will need:
- Red paper
- Black paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Black pipe cleaners
- Brass fasteners
- Markers or stickers
- Wiggly eyes
Instructions
1 | Stick the black paper on the toilet roll
Start by cutting the black piece of paper and fix it to the TP roll with the glue stick to cover it entirely.
2 | Cut the wings
First, draw a heart shape on the red piece of paper and fill it with little hearts.
Instead of drawing them, you could also stick some little stickers (heart-shaped if you have any).
Then cut out the wings.
3 | Fix the wings to the toilet paper roll
Once you have the wings, fix them to the toilet paper roll with brass fasteners.
You will need to leave some space on top of the toilet paper for the head of the ladybug.
4 | Make the head of the ladybug
On a piece of black paper or foam, draw a circle and cut it out.
Then, stick two wiggly eyes to it and two pipe cleaners on top. Roll the pipe cleaners to form the antennas.
Finally fix the head to the top of the toilet paper roll.
5 | Add the legs of the lady bug
Cut out six pieces of pipe cleaners and fix them to the side of the toilet paper roll.
6 | Leave a secret message
Spread the wings of the ladybug and write your secret message on the black toilet paper. We used a white pen, but you can paint a heart or stick the message instead.
