It’s not a secret anymore, we love Fortnite! Our son’s favorite mode is the playground mode (no fill!!). That means he either plays alone or with us. That way, we do not have to worry about who he might talk to – we disabled the voice chat though, just in case.
Anyway, we decided to make some Fortnite Christmas ornaments this year with salt dough, and share them with you.
They are not hard to make but they can take some time.
DIY Fortnite Christmas ornaments
Fortnite Llama craft – Fortnite Christmas ornaments
The Llama is one of the most famous Fortnite icon. In the game, it’s a pinata with loots inside it!
You will need:
- Salt dough
- Acrylic paint
- One thin wire
- A llama model
- A paint brush
- A craft knife

Below, you will find a step by step guide to make this Fortnite Llama craft.
Step 1: Prepare your salt dough. You can use our guide to make the salt dough.
Step 2: Roll out the dough and place the Llama pattern on top of it. Then cut the shape out with your craft knife. Do not forget to make a little hole in the llama if you want to turn this craft into a DIY Fortnite ornament. If you need a Llama pattern, skip to the end of this post for the link to the one I drew.
Step 3: Once you have the shape, let it dry. I used the oven method and had to wait for a couple of hours as I had some other crafts in there as well. But if you are in a hurry, try zapping it in the microwave instead. Don’t forget to check it often as you don’t want it to over-dry.
Step 4: Start painting your llama. You will need: brown, purple, dark purple, light and dark blue, white and black.
To help, I drew on the llama the different lines I wanted to follow and then started painting.
Step 5: Let your Fortnite Llama dry and in the meantime cut the thin wire to the size you want. Then fix your Llama to your tree.

Fortnite v-bucks craft – Fortnite Christmas ornaments
The v-bucks are the virtual money used in Fortnite to purchase different items to customize your character.
You will need:
- Salt dough
- Acrylic paint
- One thin wire
- Circle cookie cutters or small cups
- A paint brush
- A craft knife
Instructions:
Below, you will find a step by step guide to make this Fortnite v-bucks craft.
Step 1: Prepare your salt dough. You can use our guide to make the salt dough.
Step 2: Roll out the dough and cut two circles with a cookie cutter or a cup.
Step 3: On one of the circles, use a smaller cookie cutter or cup to draw another circle inside the first one, and keep the ring obtained.
Step 4: Place the ring on top of the other circle and make holes inside it. You can skip the holes bit and only paint it afterwards if you prefer.
Step 5: With your craft knife, cut a V out of the remaining salt dough and place it in the middle of the circle.
Step 6: Do not forget to make a little hole in the circle if you want to turn this V-buck craft into a Christmas ornament.
Step 7: Let it dry (choose the method that suits you).
Step 8: Start painting it – you will need one light gray, one dark gray, light blue and white.
Step 9: Cut the thin wire to the size you want and hang this little Fortnite Christmas ornament to your tree.
Well done! Here is your IRL (in real life) v-buck!
Don’t forget to seal your crafts and hide them in a food container.
Fortnite Llama pattern
A little while ago, I decided to make a cardboard Fortnite Llama for my son. I drew the shapes, cut them in pizza boxes, fixed them and started sticking the cut papers on top of the Llama. But I found out that I was missing some colors and had to stop.
My daughter found it funny to steal it and drew on top of it! So I confiscated it and forgot to finish it 🙁
Long story short, I remembered I had it so managed to use it for today’s craft and here is a link to the pattern in case you need one.
These were really fun to make and my son was pretty happy to have his own Fortnite Christmas ornaments – now I will have to find another idea for my daughter before she kills me 🙂
